ITV ‘Coronation Street’ spoilers can reveal that Bethany Platt could be returning to Weatherfield sooner than anyone could have believed. Lucy Fallon, who plays Platt, made her exit from the soap a few months ago after getting an offer for a job in London. But speaking exclusively to The Sun, the actress has revealed whether she would be returning to the soap in the future.
Fallon’s answer would please all Corrie fans as they were desperately sad to see one of the stars of the soap leave. Fallon revealed that she would be ‘100%’ open to returning to the soap in the future. The actress has refused to close the door on returning to soap. That means that she may one day return.

Coronation Street fans were bitterly disappointed when it was revealed that Fallon would be leaving the soap. She has played her part in some of the biggest storylines over the past couple of years. The most notable storyline that she was included in was the award-winning child grooming storyline which aired in 2017.
The hard-to-watch scenes drew widespread reviews with Barbara Ellen from the Guardian admitting that Fallon was ‘immaculate’ in the scenes. Her performances saw her win the Best Actress award at the National Television Awards and the Bets Female Dramatic Performance award at the British Soap Awards.

Bethany was most recently involved in the storyline centring around Daniel Osbourne’s grief, as the two of them attempting to make their relationship work despite Daniel not yet being over Sinead Tinker. Ultimately their relationship was doomed from the beginning, and when Daniel proposed to Bethany using Sinead’s ring and then calling her Sinead’s name. Then, she knew that she needed to leave and accept the job in London.
The door has been left open for Bethany to return to the soap and continue this storyline in the future, with Daniel having just returned from the retreat in Scotland. Fans still believe that he isn’t over Sinead. Viewers will be left intrigued to see how and when Bethany could potentially return in the future, as she could always return after realising that she has been in love with Craig Tinker, which would be something fans would adore.
