The games that were released in December have been hugely popular with Pokemon fans around the world, with the titles among the most successful titles that have been released in the franchise.

However, the delay in the release of the expansion pack means that some fans have been waiting for months to uncover the next new offerings that the game is going to introduce to players. But, what will there be to enjoy about the DLC and what do we already know about the expected expansion pack?
Pokemon Sword And Shield: What Do We Know About The Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pack?
There will be separate expansion packs for both Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which means that players will need to ensure that they buy the correct DLC for the game that they are playing on. The pack will be available on the Nintendo Store and will cost $30 for players to download, but it certainly looks like it will be worth the fee.
The expansion pass will see players be able to explore two new regions of the Galar region. There will be the Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. These two locations will be similar to the Wild Area, with players able to encounter over 200 new Pokemon, and battle against trainers. There will be fresh challenges that players must overcome too.

As well as the region itself, players will also be given a brand new fighting Pokemon called Kubfu. As well as this there will be new legendary Pokemon around the region for players to find, and there will also be the welcome sight of Squirtle and Bulbasaur, who were both missing from the original game.
Both games will have an impact on the Pokemon that you will be able to find. The Isle of Armor will see you meet Champion Leon’s mentor, while there is also a brand new rival for you to beat. Meanwhile, in Crown Tundra there will be icey and snowy conditions to battle against as you hunt for the new Pokemon. The first release will be the Isle of Armor and will be released in June.
