When the couples get away, it is a way for them to see how the real world would be when they are out of the experiment. Sometimes these trips help them to build a larger bond, but sometimes they spell catastrophe. For Katie and Derek, this could be a very tough wake up call. There are only a few weeks left until the final decision day, so the couples are doing what they can to make their marriages work… Most of them are.

In the spoilers for the next episode of Married At First Sight, we see Derek and Katie trying to enjoy dinner and Derek’s flirting gets a little out of control for her. She simply leaves while they are all eating together and runs to her room. The other couples give him the look and he decides that he will go find her. When they start talking, she tells him that he is too flirty and friendly with the other women. She said it borders annoying with just how obvious it is.
Then she starts in on him and how just because she’s on her period doesn’t mean that they can’t be intimate together. She tells him that he should be initiating sex whenever he wants it, even if she shuts him down. Derek tells her that she is constantly shutting him down for sex so that’s why he has pretty much stopped initiating it. They argue for quite awhile, but when Katie can’t take it anymore, she just leaves. Of course, all of the other couples are thrown off by this and it pretty much ruins their dinner.
