ITV ‘Coronation Street’ spoilers have revealed that there will be touching scenes in store for the Battersby sisters of the coming weeks, as Leanne gives her blessing to Toyah. Viewers will be aware that Leanne has been going through a horrible ordeal over the past couple of months, as she has needed to come to terms with the fact that her son has mitochondrial disease.
The diagnosis means that Leanne only has a limited amount of time left with Oliver before he will pass away. However, unbeknown to Leanne, Toyah and Imran Habib have been moving forward with their plans to have a child. Toyah made the selfless decision to put the breaks on their plans recently as she didn’t want to put additional pressure on Leanne.

Toyah was originally going to cancel her plans to foster with Imran without talking to her sister about their plans. However, Imran is determined to have a child with Toyah and took matters into his own hands. He approached Nick Tilsley to speak about their plans, and asked what he thought they should do.
As a response, Nick orchestrated a meeting between Toyah and Leanne so that Toyah could openly talk about what she was planning to do. Fans of the ITV soap will be aware that having a baby is all Toyah has ever wanted, as she has tried surrogacy and IVF in the past. Toyah was stunned when Leanne revealed that they shouldn’t put their life on hold because of Oliver, and that they should continue with their plans.

Future spoilers have revealed that Leanne will be overcome with emotion in coming scenes as she comes face to face with a mother that asks about her son. She reveals that her son is fine, before later breaking down when talking about her day to Toyah, as her son isn’t fine.
Toyah will settle down with Leanne and reveal that it’s okay, and that she has the support around her to get through this heartbreaking time. Leanne later reveals to Toyah that she is happy to help her and Imran get the foster child that they want. But, will Leanne be able to stay strong to help the hopeful parents?
