Anthony Robinson, 35, was arrested go in Virginia, suspected of killing four victims so far, but authorities fear that there may be more victims than that. Tonita Lorice Smith, 39 and Allene “Beth” Redmon 54, both disappeared from Harrisonburg Virginia, in the fall of 2021.
Both bodies were found the week of Thanksgiving in a vacant lot, having been transported to their final resting place in, of all things, a shopping cart. Meanwhile, 130 miles away in Fairfax County, said shopping cart was found along with two more bodies, one of them suspected of being 29 year old Cheyenne Brown, who was four months pregnant at the time of her death.
‘Shopping Cart Killer’ suspect arrested
Authorities are now claiming that Anthony Robinson is responsible, and that he is a serial killer. Chief Kevin Davis dubbed him the “Shopping Cart Killer” and said that “He does unspeakable things with his victims.” no details are yet available, but it is said that the fourth victim was in such a bad state of decomposition that it could take time to identify them.
The remains of Brown and the fourth victim were found in Fairfax County, outside the Moon Inn. Surveillance from the night that Brown disappeared has been recovered and links her to Robinson on the night of her disappearance. However, it has not been released to the public yet as authorities are still working with the family on the matter.
Davis said of Robinson that he has a surprising lack of criminal history, but that he didn’t just turn into this monster three months ago and it would seem that Robinson is transient and has held quite a few jobs in the commonwealth of Virginia in the past.
However, they suspect that he may have traveled as far as New York and may have victims all up and down the Eastern Seaboard. There could be dozens of victims that managed to make his list over the years, and thanks to surveillance and dating apps, and the tattoos of Cheyenne Brown that a family member happened to recognize, he is now behind bars. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, we hope that justice can be served. Stay tuned!!!
