ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers finds that fans have been counting down the days until Shona Platt made her return to the soap, as she was last seen in January after being moved to a hospital in Leeds. Shona suffered brain injuries after being shot by Derek Milligan on Christmas Day. The initial signs were good for her as she seemed to escape unharmed. However, it was later revealed that had she suffered a brain injury and lost her short-term memory.
David was heartbroken as he didn’t know what to do without his supportive wife. He tried everything, which also included bringing in his children to help jog her memory. However, that didn’t work as she instead though that David’s son Max was her murdering son Clayton. She later revealed that she didn’t want to see David again, and that has sent David off the rails.

David is going through a phase where he is attempting to get huge adrenaline rushes, as he has admitted that is the only way that he is able to feel anything. Viewers have already seen David as he started a fight with a bunch of teenagers holding knives, and he looks set to make matters worse for himself by starting trouble with some local drug dealers.
Craig Tinker will be alerted to the situation according to the trailer, as he admits the David that he needs to stop with the self-destructive actions. It isn’t clear whether he will stop, but viewers were happy to see the familiar face of Shona in the trailer. The last viewers heard of Shona was her asking for a divorce through her son Clayton.

Viewers will be hoping that Shona returning to Weatherfield will mean that her memory has returned and that she will be able to save David from the destructive behaviour. However, it has also been reported that she could be returning to Weatherfield to try and finalise the divorce with David. Fans were given hope as a clip of her running out of prison was also included in the trailer.
The final piece of Shona that we see in the trailer is her talking to Gail. Viewers are convinced that her memory has returned, but could it be in time to save David from himself? Fans will be watching with baited breathe as they wait to find out.
