ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers finds that fans were happy to see the long awaited return of Shona Platt on Monday night. She made her return to the soap as she tries to piece together her life. Shona made the decision to visit her son Clayton in hospital, despite the fact that he tried to kill her just over 12 months ago. Her care worker was sceptical about whether the visit was a good idea, but reluctantly agreed to take her to prison to see him.
The care worker constantly reminds Shona that Clayton will not look like she remembers, as he will be much older. When Clayton finally appeared, she revealed that he wasn’t her son. Clayton was stunned, but has a piece of Shona’s memory returned as she has seen that version of Clayton trying to kill her?
ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Shona Returns To Weatherfield
Earlier in the episode, Shona revealed that she was ready to return home, but not in Weatherfield. She still has no memory about living with David and marrying him, which leads her to make the brave decision to return to Weatherfield next week to try and piece together her life. She will be seen walking around the street, before Roy Cropper asks if she is okay.
Earlier in the episode, she visits the Platt’s as that is where she said she was going to live. However, the situation becomes too overwhelming and she quickly leaves. Roy finds her on the street and asks whether she wants to stay with him. She reluctantly accepts despite not remembering who Roy is. Roy is aware of the situation, but due to their strong bond, he is only too happy to help.
ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Shona Moves In With Roy
Shona makes the brave decision later in the episode to accept Roy’s offer of moving in with her. He needed to persuade Shona’s care worker first that it was a good idea, but Shona is convinced that she wants to move in with the café owner and pleads with Alice to let her do so.
Alice finally agrees, but urges Shona to get in touch should she have any problems. David is later told that Shona is moving back to Weatherfield. He is immediately relieved that she will be back home, but he then becomes worried that he may never be able to rekindle his relationship with his wife.
