When Ariela traveled to Ethiopia, she meets Biniyam and ended up staying there for several months. Shortly after she traveled back to her home country, America, she found out she was carrying his child. Ariela started planning to relocate permanently because she wants to have their child in Ethiopia.

Ariela says it is possible to feel a connection with someone you barely know. She also says that she wants to try experiencing life in Ethiopia with Biniyam and she wants to start her own family.
