‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers reveals that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is in attack mode. She’s had it with her brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and is taking action. Is she going to start a war?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: No Love Lost
Ashley has never been a fan of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She definitely did not approve of Jack’s relationship with her. She saw how Diane broke her brother’s heart and destroyed everything when she faked her own death and disappeared.
Ashley can’t believe that her brother is giving Diane another chance. But it has gone so much farther than that. He asked Diane to move in with him and then he proposed to her. Diane even got a job at the family company. Ashley strongly disagreed with all of this.
But now, Diane is behind bars, charged with Phyllis Summer‘s (Michelle Stafford) ‘murder’. This is making the Abbott family look terrible and is going to destroy their company. This is Ashley’s perspective.
She believes her brother is blinded to the trouble Diane is causing. She thinks that he needs to step away from leading the company. She is considering going to the board to remove her brother, which will take this battle to a whole new level. This will be war.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Another Tactic
Another bizarre tactic that Ashley is using to try to shake her brother from his devotion to Diane is inviting Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to move in with her. Tucker has been the same destructive influence on her personally as Diane is to Jack. She somehow hopes that Jack can see that.
Tucker’s arrival hasn’t made Jack consider his relationship with Diane though. It has just served to irritate and anger him.
Jack is always defensive about the people he loves–be it Diane, Ashley, or Kyle. He is always going to fight for them until the end. It doesn’t seem to be making Jack more reflective. It just is provoking him further.
When he learns that Ashley is trying to remove him from leadership at Jabot, he is going to have some kind of breakdown.
He is already carrying so much stress about Diane and this will just be the icing on the cake. Ashley hopes he’ll abandon Diane, but she’s foolish to hope for that. Jack is nothing if not devoted.
