The release of Pokemon Sword and Shield was one of the most anticipated Pokemon games of all-time. It saw a first game role-playing game with the original gameplay to be released on the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Sword/Shield quickly became an addiction for players, with all of us wanting to ensure that our Pokemon were the strongest that they could be.

It is one of the most enjoyable Pokemon games in recent years, and with the upcoming release of the downloadable extension, many players are already getting back to the games to perfect their squads. But, which tips and tricks should be followed by players?

Pokemon Sword & Shield: Make The Most Of The Wild Area

The Wild Area on Shield and Sword is where players are likely to find the strongest Pokemon. There are Pokemon everywhere you look in this wild area, with the most dangerous and powerful ones often wandering around outside of the grass. There are some popular Pokemon available to catch here, including Gengar, Onix and Gyrados. Players also have the ability to battle stronger Pokemon in the dens, which can ensure hours of fun even when you have completed the game.

    Pokemon Sword & Shield: Camping

There are various ways to increase the EXP that your Pokemon have. The most common is by catching and defeating Pokemon in the wild and battling trainers all around the area. However, there is also another way to improve EXP, and that is by setting up camp and playing with your Pokemon for a while. You can use toys to play with them, talk with them and even cook something to eat. This is a particularly important tip that must be followed if you have weaker Pokemon, as they would soon get stronger.

Pokemon Sword & Shield: Poke Jobs

One of the most interesting aspects that have been adding to the game is the ability for Pokemon that aren’t in your six-Pokemon squad to be sent away and do Poke Jobs. These can be accessed at the Rotomi terminal, and you can find openings for Pokemon that are needed. Sending some of your Pokemon away, as you will get EXP points as well as other rewards will reward you. It is an excellent way to improving your squad should Pokemon that you aren’t using be needed elsewhere.
