Viewers will remember that David recently escaped a group of knife-wielding teenagers on the street as he purposely provoked them to feel something after the heartbreak that he suffered with Shona.
Shona was shot during the Christmas episodes, and David has been left to pick up the pieces. She was left in a stable condition following the shooting, but that quickly changed. Her short-term memory was lost, which meant that she was unable to recognise David or any of the children. David did everything he could to help her, and even moved her to a hospital in Leeds.

Spoilers have now revealed that David will once again be craving danger next week, as he tried to get that feeling once again by challenging a group of drug dealers. Viewers will be hoping that David can pull through this situation as he has kids to think about. It isn’t clear yet what happens with David, but his family may need to intervene to ensure that he doesn’t get seriously injured over the coming weeks.

However, his family have urged him to remain patient and give Shona every chance of getting better before he finally signs any divorce papers.
