FIFA 21 news has revealed that there are two more legendary players that will be added to the game this year. There are some of the biggest names in world football already included through the Icon cards, with Zinedine Zidane, Pele and Ryan Giggs among those.
It has already been announced that this season will see the introduction of one of the most unique players to have ever played the game, as the revolutionary Eric Cantona was announced a couple of weeks ago as an Icon. However, two more stars have now been announced to be playable players in FIFA 21.
FIFA 21 News: Petr Cech Added To Game
The first of the players that will be added as an icon for the next release is Petr Cech. The legendary goalkeeper will have three Icon cards in Ultimate Team next season.
Cech is arguably one of the greatest goalkeepers to have played in the Premier League, and was instrumental in the Blues winning the Premier League on four occasions.
He was also important for the Blues in all competitions, as he won virtually everything that there was to win throughout his career at Stamford Bridge. Cech won four FA Cups, three League Cups and the Europa League.
His most prestigious success for the Blues came in 2012 as he played a huge part in the penalty shootout success in the final of the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
FIFA 21 News: Xavi Added As An Icon
Cech wasn’t the only player that was announced for the game over the weekend, as it was also revealed that Barcelona legend Xavi will also be added to Ultimate Team this season.
The Spanish midfielder was a huge part of two of the most successful sides in the history of the game. He won the World Cup and two European Championships with Spain, and was part of what is recognised as one of the best football teams in the history of the game.
During his career, he won the La Liga title on eight occasions and the Copa del Rey on three occasions. He also won the Champions League on four occasions.
His most successful tenure was between 2008 and 2015, as he won 15 major trophies. He departed Barcelona in 2015, but played for four further seasons with Al Sadd.
