FIFA 21 fans were given a glimpse into what they can expect when FIFA 21 is released in a couple of months this week, as the official gameplay trailer was released by EA Sports.
The three-minute video went in depth about some of the biggest changes that have been made in the game this year, and there is already enough for fans to get exciting about.
The name of the game is creativity, and here are some of the biggest things that we learn about the upcoming EA Sports release.
FIFA 21: Agile Dribbling
EA have made the decision to change how dribbling will work in the upcoming game, as players will now have increased creativity when it comes to dribbling.
Players will be able to keep the ball closer to their feet before then trying one of the new tricks that have been introduced to beat a man with some nifty footwork.
FIFA 21: Positioning Awareness
There is nothing more annoying in FIFA than playing a pass only to find out that your player has drifted into an offside position. This will no longer be the case with the introduction of positioning awareness in FIFA 21.
In the trailer, it reveals that world-renowned strikers will now be more aware of their positioning, which means players like Sergio Aguero and Robert Lewandowski will arc their runs to stay onside.
FIFA 21: Creative Runs
That isn’t the only difference to off the ball play, as players will also have unique control on the runs that their players make with the introduction of manual runs.
Players will be able to control the runs off the ball by holding down L1 and then commanding the player to run into space before the man with the ball can find him. Another big change that will give players greater freedom in the attacking third.
FIFA 21: Harder AI Level Added
Players that are quick to master FIFA will also be delighted that a harder difficulty for the game has now been added, which is more difficult than legendary. This new difficulty will match that of players that compete for the biggest prizes in FIFA esports.
It will certainly offer a new challenge to players, but only time will tell if you’re truly gifted enough to really take on the best.
As well as these changes, there is also the ability to rewind in-game to try something different, and changes made to ensure that collisions are more natural. The early signs are good, as FIFA 21 could be leaving FIFA 20 trailing in the dust.
