ITV ‘Coronation Street’ spoilers have emerged reporting that Ken Barlow will be forced to make a huge decision over the coming weeks regarding where his long-term future lies. Fans began to question whether a return to Weatherfield could be on the cards in the near future after Monday’s episode, as he revealed that he wasn’t going to become president at Still Waters.
Ken won the election after revealing that Charles has been stealing all the residents’ money, but quickly withdrew from the race as he didn’t believe that he had the credentials needed to fulfil the role. That led him to name his own replacement, and he nominated Norris Cole, who certainly appeared to be happy with the nomination.

Viewers immediately believed that Ken had stepped aside because he believed that he wouldn’t be at Still Waters for too much longer. He later told Claudia that the people there weren’t his ‘type’ of people. Fans immediately hoped that he meant that he would be moving back to Weatherfield as his presence has certainly been missed.
It hasn’t been an easy couple of weeks for Ken, as he has lost his closest companion Eccles. She was put down after the vet found a tumour. Ken looks to have his mind made up, but could Claudia yet throw a spanner in the works by offering the Coronation Street legend an ultimatum before he makes his final decision?

Claudia was certainly the overriding reason behind why Ken moved to Still Waters, as she wanted to relax and not live in Weatherfield. However, she is already aware that Ken is missing his family, and she looks set to offer him an ultimatum. That could see Ken picking between the woman that he loves, or the street that he misses dearly.
It is hard to see Weatherfield continuing for much longer without Ken playing his part, and the bosses at the soap have admitted that his stay at Still Waters would only be a short-term plan. Could that mean that a return to Weatherfield could be on the cards over the coming weeks? Fans will certainly hope so.
