CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans have another theory of who killed A.J. Montalvo all those years ago in Kansas and why Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is hesitant to spill the beans. The most popular theory is that Hope is actually the one who pushed him off the loft and Victor flew down to help cover it up so she wouldn’t get in trouble. He doesn’t want to bring this up and tarnish Adam Newman’s vision of his mother.
This could explain quite a bit and is likely the storyline we will follow, however there are new thoughts about the killer and that the person who did it is none other than Adam himself! Adam’s had a lot of things to deal with in his lifetime and it’s possible that if he does have some neurological issue (which many viewers think he does), that it could have all begun when Adam was a small child. His issues began when he killed a man, and he did the best he could to black it out from his memory.

This may seem a little thin and crazy, but there could be some weight behind it. Instead of Victor being afraid of Adam about his mother, he could be afraid to tell him about himself, and as much as he has had issues with his son, he doesn’t want to put this weight on him or see him go to jail. It was probably just Adam defending himself and his mother, similar to the Hope theory.
Though this would explain why Victor was in Kanas around that time, so he flew over to make sure his son wouldn’t be brought in on charges or taken away from Hope? This included covering up the tracks and paying off the coroner. While it’s more likely Victor is covering it up for Hope, this makes for an interesting topic and Adam and his possible psychosis.
