ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers reveal that the day that Coronation Street fans hoped would never have come looks certain to come in the not so distant future according to newspaper reports. The British press have been reporting that the bosses at the ITV soap have been putting plans into action for a spin-off that could air when they finally run out of episodes.
Fans are already looking forward to the planned spin-off, as it has been reported that a host of faces from Coronation Street past are likely to be involved. The spoilers have admitted that a four-part series could see Ken Barlow and Bet Lynch among those that will be entertaining fans.

The news comes after ex-Rovers Return landlady Kym Marsh also admitted that ITV should start rolling out past episodes to get fans talking about brighter times. It would seem that the bosses at the soap have decided that could be the best route forward, as they look to honour some of the stars that have made Corrie what it is today.
Ken Barlow will be among those honoured, as no other star has appeared in more soap episodes around the world than the Corrie legend. The news comes almost a months after it was revealed that the filming of the soap was to be paused indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. There has been no word yet as to when the soap may resume filming.
ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Comedy Star Joins Soap
It was revealed on Sunday afternoon that Benidorm star Tony Maudsley would be joining the soap. He will be playing Archie Shuttleworth’s son. Archie was killed off in 2018, with the character leaving £80,000 to Audrey Roberts in his will.
Further details are yet to emerge surrounding his character’s name, but fans will be hoping that he has a comedy element to his role. He tweeted about his enjoyment as joining the cast, as he admitted the soap is one of his favourite programmes. Maudsley will begin filming when the cast return following the COVID-19 lockdown.
