EA Sports FIFA 21: Icons We Would Love To See Added In FIFA 21

The icons available in FIFA have added a new dimension to the game. No longer will players have to wonder about the relationship on the field between Zinedine Zidane and Lionel Messi, as players can have them both in the same team. It has been one of the most exciting developments in the game in the past couple of editions.

The number of icons being added is getting bigger with every passing year, and that means that FIFA players should be expecting at least another ten added in the release of FIFA 21. There will likely be a mixture of stars, with some being more newsworthy than others. But, which players could we expect to see added as an icon this year?

EA Sports FIFA 21 Icons: Cafu

It’s almost hard to believe that there are nearly 100 icons on the game already, but there is no Cafu. The Brazilian full-back redefined how the right-back position was played, and no player was capable at both ends of the pitch more than Cafu. He played a stunning 142 times for Brazil, and won the World Cup in 2002. He would be an excellent addition to the game, and would certainly add a popular selection for Ultimate Team players.

EA Sports FIFA 21 Icons: Bobby Charlton

There are an extensive number of Manchester United legends available on Ultimate Team. However, one of the most recognisable superstars is still missing. Sir Bobby Charlton won it all as a player, and did hold the record number of goals for Manchester United before Wayne Rooney broke his total of 211. FIFA fans will be hoping that Charlton is added to the game as they will be able to score piledrivers from all over the pitch. Charlton’s greatest successes came in the 60s. He won the World Cup with England in 1966, and won the European Cup with Manchester United two years later.

EA Sports FIFA 21 Icons: Arjen Robben

Arjen Robben was always a popular selection on Ultimate Team before he retired from football at the end of last season. Because of that, he would be a hugely popular pick should he be named an icon in FIFA 21. He played over 420 times in his near 20-year career, and he represented some of the biggest clubs in world football. His most successful period came with Bayern Munich as he won eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League. He also won domestic league titles in England, Spain and the Netherlands.
