The central midfield position is the backbone to many teams around Europe, with managers looking to bring in players in this position that can defend, attack and pass the ball well. The position is often overlooked for strikers when it comes to importance.
But, if it wasn’t for high-quality midfield players, then strikers wouldn’t have the chances that they have to score. In FIFA 21 there is an abundance of high-quality young midfielders, but which players should managers look to sign in Career Mode?

The central midfielder can also play in a holding role, and is able to get across the pitch effortlessly with high attributes for acceleration, sprint speed and agility.
He starts the game with a 73 rating, but has the potential to rise to 88. Best of all for managers, he will not be an expensive signing, as he will cost just £5 million in the first season. However, he also has a release clause of £14 million should you wish to get straight to the wages.
