‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers show that on the show, Molly Lansing-Davis has experienced yet another change as a new actress has assumed the part.
Haley Pullos, who had to leave the part owing to a motorway incident and legal problems, was formally replaced by Kristen Vaganos in the role of Molly with her acting debut.
This casting shuffle got started when the production hastily hired Holiday Mia Kriegel to temporarily fill the part back in May.
But by July, when Brooke Anne Smith made her debut as Molly, it was clear to the majority of viewers that this casting choice was a grave error. Smith didn’t quite fit the character’s age and mood set by earlier women.
Unsurprisingly, a lot of ‘General Hospital’ supporters expressed their displeasure online and demanded that this casting blunder be corrected. Smith could have been suited for a different role, but the program put her in a position that didn’t play to her abilities.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Molly Lansing-Davis Recast With Actress Kristen Vaganos
Thank goodness, Molly’s replacement, Kristen Vaganos, has taken Smith’s post when the powers that be realized a change was necessary. Vaganos will hopefully give the role her own unique voice.
Regarding her prior work, Vaganos has made appearances in a number of TV shows, including Bound for Glory, Serial Soulmate, and Bulge Bracket. She was in movies like My Sweet Holiday, I Am Lisa, and Secret Society of Lies, among others, that you might remember.
Vaganos’ depiction of Molly is expected to be well-received given the excellent feedback she has already received on social media since making her ‘General Hospital’ debut.
It seems the program has made the correct decision because fans have been calling for a fresh interpretation of the character.
Despite the fact that Kristen Vaganos hasn’t yet appeared in any particularly dramatic sequences in Port Charles, she has a natural presence on camera and is a perfect fit for the part of a Davis sister.
Let’s hope that the cast changes for Molly Lansing-Davis are finally over, enabling the narrative to once again take center stage.
