Howie Mandel has defended Meghan Markle in light of the criticism she has received over her comments about working as a briefcase model on “Deal or No Deal.”
Howie Mandel Defends Meghan Markle’s Bimbo Comments
Howie is certainly in a position to comment on the show after having hosted it previously. During the course of her ‘Archetypes’ podcast on Spotify, the Duchess of Sussex was very vocal about how she felt she had been objectified on the show.
So much so that she went on to refer to being viewed as a ‘bimbo.’ This did not go down very well given that Meghan would end up taking a role in ‘90210’ thereafter in a scene where her character was seemingly giving oral sex in a car.
Rather than calling out Meghan over the perceived double standards, though, Howie viewed things in a different manner. He felt that Meghan simply wanted more to her life than appearing in front of the cameras and being judged on her appearance.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Howie said: “I don’t think Meghan is complaining. I think Meghan just said she wanted to do more. It wasn’t fulfilling for her.
“So I don’t know why there is a big hoopla, except I have to say that me standing there with 26 women staring at me made me feel like a bimbo.”
Nevertheless, another member who was connected to the game show has spoken out against Meghan. Claudia Jordan, who happened to be a former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, has spoken about how the show did not treat the women as ‘bimbos.’
Not only that, but Claudia admitted that the show offered people avenues to explore their career further which should have been recognised.
But perhaps Meghan’s past has cast a negative light on the new image that she is trying to portray on her podcast. And that is something that she has to guard against.
