Kanye West doubled down on his recent claim that he wants to have more of an input on his children’s education.
Kanye West Refuses To Compromise On His Kids’ Education
It is no secret that the rapper has not had the best co-parenting relations with his ex Kim Kardashian following their split. The rapper did admit that the Kardashian looks after the children ‘80 percent’ of the time, which looks to have limited his influence.
With that being said, Kanye let everybody know in no uncertain terms that he was not going to compromise on his plans for his kids’ education.
In an interview on Tucker Carlson, he said: “All they do is take all the celebs kids and throw them into this same school. Right now we’ve come to a compromise.
“But I’m not finished because I don’t compromise — but we’ve come to a compromise that my kids come to my school after school and they learn choir.”
This has already created some tension when with the children. Kanye expanded on how his son, Psalm, became disillusioned at having to learn choir when he did not go to the Donda Academy.
And given that this has already led to some resistance in the children at a young age, Kanye expressed how he was worried over how his children would turn out without having a fatherly influence.
His following comments confirmed as much: “So imagine a 16-year-old version of that guy, or the 26-year-old version of that guy, where the father doesn’t have a say-so of what the kids are watching.
“What the kids are wearing, what the kids are eating, or who the kids are hanging out with.” Ultimately, this is only something that Kim and Kanye can resolve.
With that being said, it is probably wise that Kanye resorts to fixing things behind the scenes in private and not exposing his family. After all, that is not going to do anyone any favours going forward.
