It has got to be extremely tough to get married to someone that you were matched with. This experiment was difficult for Mindy and Zach. Mindy knew that their marriage would not work and she even decided to throw a divorce party when she knew it was over. She said, “I actually requested a divorce party, that was completely my idea. The season was an emotional roller coaster for me, for sure.”

This marriage didn’t last very long because Mindy found out that Zach had been texting with her best friend. “I was quite frustrated trying to figure that out. There were text messages that were deleted and everything. So, you know, once I came to terms with what happened and everything, I just tried to look at the future and not dwell on that.” I will say that I’ve decided to choose my friends very wisely, and I only have wonderful people in mu life right now.”
Mindy felt that there was lot more to Zach off camera that we didn’t get to see. He didn’t want to spend time with her when they were not on camera. “It felt like he was just spending time with me when he was obliged to for the filming. Zach just seemed to be kind of closed up to me. And he brought up the attraction thing many times and I became frustrated with that, in my eyes, he was using this lack of attraction to not open up and not get close to me. So, I feel like I was putting in a lot more effort than him.”
With everything that went wrong with Mindy and Zach‘s marriage, she still thinks that the matchmakers did an awesome job. “I don’t think that the matchmakers could have predicted his apprehension. I don’t think that the matchmakers missed the mark at all. I think that they really understood me very, very well.”
We are happy that Mindy feels that she did learn from this experiment and wish her well with her future.
