The Sony Playstation 5 Live Event took place yesterday, and at long last, the PS5 console was revealed! It took a little over an hour or so to finally see it but was definitely worth it. There has been quite a bit of criticism over the new style and design of the console, but overall, we think it looks pretty slick. A black and white, modern design that will look good in any game room.
Along with it, we saw a slew of new titles being released for the PS5, including ‘Horizon Forbidden West’, ‘NBA 2k21’, and ‘Resident Evil Village’ to name a few. However, one title that is coming this fall is ‘Mortal Shell’, and it’s still slated for a PS4 release.
‘Mortal Shell’ Gameplay Trailer – Will This End Up A PS5 Release?
In the gameplay trailer, we see some intense combat reminiscent of titles like ‘Dark Souls’ and ‘Bloodborne’. According to the video description,
“Four Shells, four styles. Possess Eredrim and punish. Mortal Shell is a deep action-RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world. Coming to PS4 later this year.”
Is this a title that could be launched with the PS5, or at least moved to a PS5 release? The graphics already look great on the PS4, and with the imminent launch of the PS5 this holiday season, will enough people stay with the PS4 to play this? What do you think? Are you looking forward to ‘Mortal Shell’ and will it be moved to the PS5? Let us know in the comments below.
