She reveals a secret to him, and admits that it’s something that he should look into. The secret centres around a lie that was told by his wife- Corrine (Dervla Kirwan). Adam’s life then takes a number of unpredictable turns, as he does everything he can to save his and his wife’s marriage.

There is an extensive number of astounding performances in this drama. Jennifer Saunders plays a local café owner, who is also approached by The Stranger surrounding her daughter. She is also close with the lead detective at the local police force- DS Johanna Griffin (Siobhan Finneran).
Johanna and Adam grow closer as the series develops, but viewers are constantly questioning whether she is close to him because she doesn’t believe what he is saying. The Stranger has become one of the most popular shows on Netflix, as it has an 86% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Once you start watching it, you won’t be able to turn it off.
