The EA Exclusive era of Star Wars games may be coming to an end. That doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to be seeing more Star Wars games from EA.
As of this moment, there are a lot of rumours of what they’re working on, one being Battlefront 3 and another being something a bit more original.
Apart from that, there is one game that had the most success through the EA Exclusive era. This is the Star War Jedi Fallen Order that brought new characters into the Star Wars-like Cal and Second Sister fold.
Throughout the whole era, this is the most highly praised game. Making a sequel is near enough a given in the near future. Some rumours of what will be in this game have already started to appear.
Long live Maul
The rumours are pointing to Ex-Darth and the wielder of the iconic Double-Bladed Saber, Darth Maul. After the Phantom Menace, where Darth Maul only had a small amount of screen time.
The Clone War Series and the Rebels brought Darth Maul back and, with it, grew his popularity to new heights.
There were also leaks of a cancelled game that featured Mual.In the first game, we did get to see Darth Vader and a couple of others from the films, so bringing more to the sequel isn’t that surprising.
Was it hinted at in the first game?
In the first game, we went to Dathomir. Star Wars fans out there will know that this is Maul’s home planet. We built the double edge sword on this planet and fought some of Maul’s race, the Dathomirian.
Then we fight alongside Merrin of the Nightsister, which ends with her joining you on your missions. Merrin will most likely be a massive part of the next game.
All these facts are pointing to Darth Maul making an appearance in the future game.
In what way is unknown if we will fight against Mual or with him as later on, he was kind of in the balance of both Sith and Jedi, making him really a Grey Jedi at the end.
