‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that in a sneak peek for this coming week, Michelle Stafford’s character Phyllis Summers meets up in person with Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) daughter, Summer. While we are aware that Phyllis faked her own death, nobody else in Genoa City, notably Summer, is.
While it is possible that Phyllis will return to tell Summer that she is alive—thus jeopardizing the rest of her plan—we also believe that Summer may be dreaming or seeing things.
It wouldn’t be a stretch—characters have had dreams about the dead before—and would only make Summer despise Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) even more.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Did Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) Just Give Away Her Entire Plan?
In the event that Summer is not seeing things, what is Phyllis’ strategy in this situation? Why would she undermine what she has accomplished to reveal her existence?
Even if she intends to distort the facts in order to place all the responsibility on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), it is absurd that she would expose herself to her kid in a public setting.
It appears like Phyllis will simply have to accept her lot in life and that her plan will go wrong. With the exception of the fact that Phyllis had just committed a murder and will have to live with it, they will be back where they started after Diane is freed from custody. That shouldn’t be too challenging, though.
It is unclear whether Summer’s mother is actually present, but it is a clear twist for her to see her. In any case, it will give her troubles, and she might also experience challenges with her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), as Summer was so easily persuaded to despise Diane for something she didn’t commit.
What do you think? Is Summer seeing things or do you think Phyllis really is there and telling her daughter she is alive? Let us know in the comments below.
