The DLC now dubbed The Ancient Gods was rumoured and leaked through screenshots of concept art a while back now. It has now been confirmed that the DLC is in development and will have multiple DLCs carry on the story of Doom Eternal.
This was announced as part of QuackCon as a teaser and the full trailer will be released on the 27th of August. It is called Part One and it hasn’t been confirmed yet how many parts we will get.
The story of The Ancient Gods (Slight Spoilers)
The DLC looks to take place straight after the Doom Eternal campaign. It will focus more on the Angel areas and step away from the demonised areas. Although there’s no doubt that you’ll be going up against most likely both races in the DLC.
We don’t have that much information on the DLC yet. When the full trailer is released on the 27th August, hopefully we’ll get a lot more information on the The Ancient Gods DLC.
A focus on angels
We have had a lot of demons through the Doom Series. Through the playthrough of Doom Eternal, that changed with the big introduction of angels. It turns out they aren’t much better than the demons.
Although in the Ancient Gods DLC. It looks like we will dive a lot more into the lore of angels in the Doom lore.
