The main goal for everyone that buys either Pokemon: Let’s Go is to become the Pokemon League Champion. The quest is simple, collect all eight gym badges and then make your way through Victory Road and onto the Pokemon League. The real challenge lies there with four battles against the Elite Four, before two concluding battles to reach your goal.
However, once you have achieved that, players often wonder what there is to do after. The selections may not be as rewarding as the Pokemon League, but there are certainly options open to players. Should you have become Pokemon Champion, then these are the tasks that you should be setting yourself.
Catch All The Legendary Pokemon
Should you have not caught Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno already, then this would be the perfect time to do so. The majority of players will catch them on their way through to the end of the game, with Moltres located just a stone’s throw away from the Pokemon League on Victory Road. The other two legendary Pokemon also aren’t too difficult to find with, Zapdos located in the Power Plant and Articuno found in the cave on the Seafoam Islands.
Unlike in the original versions of the game, there is no fear that you will accidentally make them faint in this game. Instead, you will need to beat them to catch them. Once you have defeated them, catching them is pretty straightforward. All three of the Pokemon will be at level 50.
Encounter Mewtwo
The biggest challenge on the game lies within the Cerulean City cave. You cannot enter said cave until you have become the Pokemon Champion, but once you have this should be the first person you head to. The challenge of beating and then catching Mewtwo is one of the most difficult, with Mewtwo being at level 70 and having all his stats maxed out.
There are a couple of tips that players can follow in order to achieve their goal, with the biggest one being the use of dark-type Pokemon. These will be immune to the psychic attacks and also be able to land big blows of their own. Bug and ghost Pokemon will also be able to leave their mark.
Re-Matches With Gym Leaders & Battle Pokemon Master Trainers
Should your Pokemon still be weak to take on the powerful Mewtwo, then the perfect training can be found in the gyms around the Kanto region. Once you have won the Pokemon League, you will be able to re-challenge the leaders of the gyms. However, you will only be able to do this once per day. You can also get a huge challenge by finding all the Pokemon Master Trainers.
These trainers are some of the toughest on the game, but you will only be able to use one Pokemon. These battles will see both trainers use the same Pokemon, with their Pokemon being between levels 65 and 80.
