I’m not going to lie, and this article hurts to write. Final Space ran for three great seasons. It might not be for everyone, but that does not mean it wasn’t an amazing show.
First, starting as a YouTube short by Olan Rogers. Then created a pilot on YouTube, which was picked up by a TV Network and had three great seasons. But now, in a heartwarming video, Olan Rogers has said goodbye to Final Space, it may not be the last time, but at the moment, Final Space is over.
Why Final Space was such a good show
Final Space humour mixed with so much feeling stood out. We do have things like Rick and Morty, but Final Space was a completely different show. Through Final Space, you follow a normal kind of guy called Gary Speed, someone who is trying to find their way in the universe, and he does it through pain and loss.
Not only that, though, but watching the creation of this show through Olan Rogers YouTube made the show just feel even more special. Unfortunately, final Space went through two mergers. It was owned by Warner Bros. Olan Rogers said that only one of the three seasons was made in usual circumstances due to the merger and the Pandemic. So it wasn’t an easy run for Final Space, but it was a good one.
We may still see a Final Space game
In the goodbye video, we did hear that two games are in the works that we may still see. Olan Rogers has played them both and says they’re good. One of the games is a VR game, and the other a console.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information out there on this game. But if these games do get released in the future, it could give some hope to another network picking up Final Space in the future.
Goodbye, Final Space. I hope to see you again.
