It has been rumoured that next month a Mass Effect Trilogy will be released on all consoles in October. Even though at the moment there has been no announcement if the game is actually coming. The announcement could be any day now.
There is the possibility that this is all fake news. With one of the rumours appeared after someone successfully pre-ordered the game in the British store; Game. This seems true by the fact that he showed off his receipt on Reddit.
When will there be an announcement?
If the game is released in October, we could actually see it as part of the new Nintendo Switch Partnership Mini Directs. Their Mini Directs do seem to be getting bigger and an announcement like this could really bring them to a massive audience.
If the trilogy is coming to the Switch, making it the first time for it to be handheld. This would be a big enough announcement for Switch to try and make it part of their Directs. This could also hint at us getting another Direct Mini at the start of October but this is speculation.
Will the port to Switch run smoothly?
The third Mass Effect game came out in 2012 meaning that this should easily be ported to Switch. With Doom and Outer World being able to make the move to Switch and looking decent. A game released 8 year ago should make the port pretty easily. This is the same for the other two releases years before.
The size of all three games on a cartridge as well can be easily fixed like they did with the Spyro Trilogy by having 2 and 3 as downloads and only 1 on the cartridge. This does anger fans slightly but it is worth it for it to come to the Switch. We will be following this story as it progresses.
