In a recent interview with Tom Hardy, he said that Venom would most likely go into the multiverse in the third movie. This is likely the latest tease that Venom and Spider-Man will go head to head in the near future.
There are also some comments on the end credits of Venom 2 being mind-blowing. Another hint to Spider-Man making an appearance in the upcoming second film’s end credits. However, if you are only a Marvel movie fan, you may not know how much Venom is connected to the multiverse.
What is the VenomVerse?
In the Marvel comics, there is actually something called VenomVerse. Where symbiotes affect nearly all of the Marvel characters. There is also a massive threat to the symbiotes as an alien race called the poisons infest the symbiotes and take them over, making any character behind the symbiotes unable to control their actions.
It could be possible that, in some way, this is recreated within the MCU. We have recently seen a What If Series, where we saw Marvel zombies make an appearance, making VenomVerse possible in the future.
Spider-Man Vs. Venom Is still the endgame
It does seem like all teases are leading to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Vs Tom Hardy’s Venom. There are a lot of ways they can do this through the multiverse. Both Spider-Man and Venom have many enemies in common.
Now that Venom is more of a hero than an anti-hero in the movies. Where Spider-Man and Venom go is very hard to predict, but it looks more likely we will see them both in the same movie sooner rather than later.
